Earth’s Wild Beings

Barn Owl (Tyto alba)

In a quiet woodland clearing, a barn owl named Luna became a silent guardian of the night. Her white face and ghostly flight earned her a mystical reputation among the forest's smaller creatures. One night, Luna detected a snake slithering toward a nest of robin chicks.

Without hesitation, she swooped down, her talons catching the intruder mid-strike. Luna's protective instincts saved the young robins, and though they belonged to another species, her actions became a legend in the forest. To this day, the robins' song at dusk is said to honor Luna's bravery.
